Caritas Southwark & Operation Forgiveness

This month, we had the privilege of joining a Year 6 class at Christ Church Primary School, Greenwich, for Operation Forgiveness, an early intervention programme run by London City Mission to help prevent knife crime among young people.

The sessions are powerful and moving: students hear directly from the family of a 15-year-old boy who lost his life to knife crime, learning about the real impact on families and communities, while exploring the important theme of forgiveness. The children responded with real empathy and maturity, asking thoughtful questions and reflecting deeply on the issues.

We were impressed by how engaging and meaningful the programme was, and we encourage other schools and youth groups to take part.

Further information about the initiative can be found here.
