New card game in development!

Caritas Southwark is continuing its collaboration with Happy2Host Education to support children and families in learning how to stay safe online — and this year, the project is taking a creative new turn.

We’re currently working together to develop an educational card game designed to help primary school pupils explore online safety in a fun and engaging way. The game will encourage children to think about the choices they make online, how to recognise risks and how to talk to trusted adults when something doesn’t feel right.

This builds on our earlier work with Happy2Host, which brought internet safety workshops to ten primary schools across the Archdiocese. Those sessions helped both children and parents learn simple, practical ways to be smart and secure online.

As we continue to grow this partnership, we’re also looking to work more closely with our schools on projects that nurture wellbeing, resilience and faith in action. Recently, we’ve worked alongside the Mizen Foundation, who have already visited nine of our schools to share powerful messages of peace and forgiveness inspired by the legacy of Jimmy Mizen.

Over the coming months, we’ll be exploring new ways to support Catholic schools in forming young people to make good choices, care for one another and live out Christ’s love in practical, everyday ways.
